ENCOUNTER Overland (071-370 6845) has cut the price of its 11- week 'Classic Overland' trip from London to Kathmandu by pounds 445. Departing on 28 May, transport is by expedition truck using the traditional route across Europe into Turkey before crossing Iran into Pakistan and via north- east India to Kathmandu. The reduced price of pounds 1,500 includes transport, the services of a leader and full-board camping accommodation. A flight from Kathmandu to London costs about pounds 350.
