FROM 1 April Virgin Atlantic has announced it will operate a daily service from Gatwick to Athens. Under a 'route franchise agreement' with Greece-based South East European Airlines, the service will be operated by a Boeing 737 in Virgin livery. Return fares start at pounds 279 for an Apex, which requires a stay over at least one Saturday night.
