IN last week's article on travel to France ('France: All you'll ever need to go'), we said that to dial the UK from France, 'You should dial 19 for the international exchange; wait for a new dialling tone; dial 44 for Britain, then your STD code with the first 0, then the number.' This should have read 'without the first 0'.
