THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Located in Eastbourne's historic Old Town, the train station is around a 1 km away, while Eastbourne beach and pier are around 2 km away.

By car: around 2 hours 30 minutes from London, 1 hour 45 minutes from Portsmouth and 3 hours 30 minutes from Bristol. On-site parking available.

By train: London Victoria to Eastbourne takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the station, or 5 minutes in a taxi. Book trains to Eastbourne.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

This is very much a traditional English pub - homely with dark brown traditional furniture, and touches like green wood-panelled walls and old fireplaces with exposed brick surrounds.

Being essentially a pub with rooms, there aren't many extra facilities as such, you're essentially staying for the traditional pub atmosphere and central location.

There are four en suite rooms, quite traditionally furnished. They have double or twin beds, a desk and TV and maybe a couple of armchairs. There's also a kettle, fridge and a safety deposit box.

FOOD AND DRINK
