The house has 14th-century origins but Victorian and Georgian wings. The main lobby is dominated by a striking throne made from antlers, a spacious lounge features a stone fireplace, and the breakfast room has a whimsical appeal.

The Old Rectory is managed by Susie and Tina, both former midwives, who bring a warm, gentle touch to the place. Guests can make use of the honesty bar and walled garden. The spa is an intimate space with three treatment rooms and a sauna.
