THE LOOK AND FEEL
Full of atmosphere and antiques, this Georgian townhouse is like stepping into the home of a wealthy elderly relative. In fact, it is the fictional abode of wicked Uncle Seymour, in the Zetter folklore and in Seymour's Parlour, the ground-floor bar and lounge, you can sit and admire the eclectic curios.
THE FACILITIES
The staff are friendly and welcoming, and bar staff are particularly keen to explain the homemade cocktail ingredients; the jasmine cordial or pear eau de vie, for example. Facilities are limited, but you can store luggage, and there's laundry and a dry-cleaning service.

BED AND BATH
The quirky and eccentric rooms and suites are what make this place so popular. Some rooms are a little snug, but there is a lavishness to them, with antique telephones, damask drapes and antique writing desks. Bathrooms are thankfully more modern, with tiled bathrooms with tubs or showers.
Room types: Deluxe Double, Deluxe King, Junior Suite, Lear's Loft

FOOD AND DRINK
The main draw here is the cocktails and nibbles in the parlour. Many of the cordials, infusions and bitters are created in-house for delicious and unusual creations such as the "Butterfly" with tequila, orange blossom, agave, butterfly sorrel and lime. Sharing platters of cheese, charcuterie and crudites join crab tostadas and pork belly croquettes on the menu.
Seymour's Parlour: drinks, cocktails, small plates. Open Tues-Thurs 4-11pm, weekends 4pm-midnight. Dishes from £6.
Afternoon tea: served Weds-Sun 12-4pm. From £39.50pp.
