1. Oui chef

2. Remote cruise

Pandaw has introduced a seven-night cruise along Burma's Chindwin River to the remote region of Nagaland, close to the Indian border. It departs in September, when the water levels are high enough to sail in the area, and features stops in colonial towns and traditional villages. 3. Sun worship

Combining Walt Disney World with the Inca Empire becomes much easier from this summer. LAN Peru starts daily flights from Orlando to Lima on 20 June, just in time for the solstice celebrations. The airline is part of the Oneworld alliance, along with British Airways. lan.com

4. Lisbon living

5. Strike a pose

6. Chill out

If the thought of building and sleeping in your own igloo appeals, head to Adelboden in Switzerland. The Igloo Festival takes place from 14-15 March, with teams competing to build prize-winning ice structures. 7. On the rails

From Tuesday, you can book journeys with Italian national rail operator Trenitalia through Loco2.com. The site already offers tickets for Italian rail company Italo, as well as SNCF (France), Deutsche Bahn (Germany), Renfe (Spain) and British train operators, so you can travel from the UK to Italy on a single booking. loco2.com
