Norwegian, a top budget carrier, opens 8 new routes

Norwegian airlines announced on October 16 the inauguration of a series of new routes to popular holiday destinations in Europe.
Tickets are now on sale for the following routes, which commence next April: Stockholm is joined up with Athens and Palermo; Copenhagen will be linked with Zagreb, Sardinia, Dubrovnik; Malta will be linked with Oslo and Copenhagen.
The starting prices for one-way flights begin at 428 Danish kroner (€58) for flights in Copenhagen and 499 Swedish kronor (€48) for routes in Sweden. Flying from Oslo to Malta will cost at least 499 Norwegian kroner (€60).
One new domestic route is established in Norway between Bergen and Tromso, starting March 2010 at 499 Norwegian kroner (€60).
Norwegian airlines is the second-busiest carrier in Scandinavia and the fourth-largest budget carrier in Europe. It serves 82 destinations around Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
