None of the 278 people onboard were injured
A plane had to make an emergency landing when one of the engines caught fire.
The All Nippon Airways plane, flying from western Japan to Tokyo Haneda airport, had to make an emergency landing in Fukuoka.
There were 270 passengers and eight crew onboard the Boeing 767 aircraft, reports local media.
Footage taken by an eyewitness shows the plane with flames spitting out of the right-hand engine.
It’s understood that nobody was injured in the incident.
The plane landed safely back at Fukuoka, and as a result the runway was shut for 30 minutes while the fire was investigated.
It’s not the first time a plane engine has caught fire after take-off.
One onlooker captured the moment that the jet started spewing flames and black smoke from the right-hand plane engine.
Philippine Airlines flight 113 suffered engine failure after taking off from Los Angeles International Airport at 11.38am local time on Thursday 21 November.
