Ryanair passengers cheer as drunk woman removed from flight

A drunk woman had to be dragged from a Ryanair flight after screaming and arguing with other passengers.

The unnamed female and her partner were both removed from the plane by Spanish police when it landed in Fuerteventura, accompanied by cheers from fellow passengers.

The incident was caught on camera, with the woman clearly resisting attempts to remove her from the aircraft.

She can be heard shouting “I don’t need an ambulance” at Spanish Civil Guards.

According to witnesses, the 6.20am flight from London Stansted to the Canary Island was trouble-free until around 20 minutes prior to landing.

Rahma Salmin, a 22-year-old student from Milton Keynes, told the Daily Mail that she was woken up by the woman screaming as the plane began its descent.

She said the woman was drunk and was not listening to the flight attendant. Another passenger asked her to calm down, and the exchange quickly escalated into an argument.

Cabin crew intervened and asked the passenger sitting next to the woman to move “for their own safety”.

Salmin said that “the noise from her went on for a really long time,” and that she was concerned the woman might start “getting physical”.

“She was such a headache,” said Salmin. She added that, while the situation was “funny” to begin with, it quickly became more worrying.

According to Salmin, Spanish law enforcement had a “very serious word” with the woman’s partner. The woman was later spotted crying in the airport.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said: “The crew of this flight from London Stansted to Fuerteventura requested police assistance upon arrival after a passenger became disruptive in-flight.

“The aircraft landed normally and police removed and detained the individual.

“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.”
