Tourists flood in to a wet St Mark's

Tourists were forced to wear plastic bags over their shoes yesterday as they waded through the water in a flooded St Mark's Square.

Seasonal tides reached 1.05m (3ft 5in) above sea level, partly flooding the city for the first time this autumn.
