The Brighton Festival begins, this year guest-directed by Anish Kapoor. Highlights include music from Antony and the Johnsons; until 24 May ( brightonfestival.org ). Air Arabia Maroc, a new Moroccan low-cost carrier, inaugurates its first flight, from Casablanca to Stansted on Wednesday ( airarabia.com ). Further north, the Floralies flower show in Nantes celebrates its 10th anniversary on Friday. The Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art will be at various venues in the city from 24 May until 27 September ( thessalonikibiennale.gr ).
