The Nautic show kicks off in Paris, with the Emirates boat show in Abu Dhabi hot on its tail.

Europe's third-biggest boat show will showcase the latest models in the nautical world. More than a quarter of a million visitors are expected to attend, as are 1,200 exhibitors representing 1,400 brands. Nearly 1,500 boats will be on display, including close to 300 new models.

2nd Emirates Boat Show International
December 8-12
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

More than 150 exhibitors are scheduled to be present and more than 200 boats will be in the water and onshore at the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club. The show, open to trade visitors and the public, will feature multi-million dollar yachts and the latest in marine accessories and electronics.

The high-speed service linking France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands gets even faster on December 13. New high-speed lines reduce the journey time of Paris to Amsterdam by 51 minutes to 3 hours, 18 minutes and Paris to Cologne by 36 minutes to 3 hours, 14 minutes.
