JOHN WESTBROOKE, runner-up in our Christmas film quiz competition, wrote enthusiastically to me about his prize trip to Rome. But he is still nursing a grievance about the answer we gave to the Casablanca question.

We reckoned the closing moments of the film were shot at what is now known as John Wayne airport, in Orange County. 'I'm not sure Casablanca did end at John Wayne airport, and anyway all the Bogart stuff was done in the studio,' says Mr Westbrooke.

A copy of my newly published Family USA guide goes to the first person to supply definitive proof.
