DENVER International Airport (code DIA) is America's Channel Tunnel in terms of tardiness. It was due to open last spring, but problems with the baggage-handling system have caused its opening to be put back to 28 February. This could be good news for anyone heading to the Colorado capital for the skiing season, since Stapleton (the present airport, which is due to close when the new one opens) is much nearer downtown Denver.
