ON 1 MAY, Acorn (0432 357335) is running a one-off, day-long train journey through Herefordshire and mid-Wales. The journey takes passengers across 12 summits, through seven tunnels and over two of the country's biggest viaducts.
The journey costs pounds 125 per person, 'inclusive of all meals and accommodation in luxury open- seat carriages with armchair-style seats'. The itinerary includes a stop at Llandrindod Wells, and the trip passes through Knighton and Craven Arms.
