ACORN Activities (0432 357335) is running a programme of residential activity holidays for single people. The courses are held in the Wye Valley near Hereford and offer orienteering and mountaineering, abseiling, caving and canoeing; seven-night packages include pony trekking and paintball. Two-night packages cost pounds 140, three-night Bank Holiday weekends pounds 200, and seven nights pounds 450.
