Q I am one of four slightly worried south London mums, whose daughters (all 18 except one who is 17) are planning to celebrate finishing their A-levels with a trip to the Mediterranean. They want an all-inclusive package but don’t mind whether it is in Spain, Italy or Greece. We want them to have a reward to look forward to, but of course want them to be safe and, ideally, sensible. They want to let their hair down. To complicate things, other family commitments mean they can only travel out on 5 or 6 July. What do you suggest for a good destination at a reasonable price?

A I agree with them that a package holiday is an excellent plan. Personally, I would try to persuade them to go self-catering, which would mean they would get out and about from the resort, but it is of course their choice.
