PONTIN'S (0772 621621) is running a Festival of Chess at its Wick Ferry holiday village in Dorset from 26 to 30 October. There will be tuition from resident coaches, including one Grand Master, as well as tournaments. It costs pounds 39 per person self-catering, or pounds 75 per adult, pounds 55 per child for half-board. The price includes use of the centre's sports and leisure facilities.
