The Platform 9 ¾ expansion includes the original Hogwarts Express train

If you’ve ever dreamed of hopping aboard the Hogwarts Express the brand new attraction at Leavesden Studios will have you climbing on your Nimbus 2000 and heading for Hertfordshire faster than you can say Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.

The iconic 78-year-old red engine - which was used in all the films - is the newest addition to the popular studio tour. The train has even been decked out with various props from the films, including copies of The Quibbler and pumpkin pasty wrappers, making the experience even more immersive.

Setting the scene too is a recreation of the infamous Platform 9 ¾, complete with a Railway Shop selling all manner of magical goodies and a trio of luggage trollies midway through the platform wall.

Ever since it opened in 2012, the Warner Bros Studio Tour has proved captivating for Harry Potter fans, who have flocked from across the globe to visit the attraction, which offers devotees of the books and films the chance to walk around authentic sets and discover the magic behind the film’s special effects.

As well as climbing aboard the Hogwarts Express, visitors can walk through the school’s Great Hall, peer inside Dumbledore’s office and stroll down Diagon Alley.
