Got kids to be entertained in London during a summer weekend or those long summer holidays?

Whether it's animals, art or acting, a great spot for a picnic, or beautiful walks you're after, there's plenty to fill the long break from school.

Here are ten ideas for trips ranging from activities which cost nothing to those which might need budgeting for.

And remember, although London buses no longer accept cash payments, under-10s travel free on tubes and buses.
