Following Ian Jack's musings on the racial origins of Cliff Richard, Gordon Lewis (Letters, 14 July) is suspicious of an unhealthy interest in racial (or class) roots. I agree and suggest he adopts the neutral term "socio-economic group" - rather than "class" - whenever sensible.
