Sir: While it is not for doctors to impose their morals on patients, it is still their responsibility to decide whether and when to embark on any operation. I cannot, say, simply demand to have my gall bladder removed.

It seems that some are not happy until 10 out of 10 women requesting an abortion receive one. Are we as doctors to resign ourselves to the role of technicians?
