Sir: Mihir Bose's contention that England's recent lack of cricketing success stems from cultural bias and prejudice is in itself persuasive. What a shame that he should undermine his own argument by referring to English cricketers as 'the products of council houses and comprehensives' and the team manager as 'Essex man'.
