Letter: Hell is on holiday - with the British

Sir: Your correspondent Nigel Williams (letter, 3 September, who anticipates holidaying in Britain next year has got it wrong.

Britain is a pleasant place to holiday only because the undesirable have gone abroad.

Imagine our shores and countryside cluttered up with all those Costa drunks, Greek island sex-adventurers, Tuscany yuppies, and Dordogne philistines. Those dreadful voices resounding in every cafe and bar.

And what if all the politicians took their holidays at home?
