Sir: Your report (29 April) on the history of mass killings incorrectly attributes the Tasmanian massacre to the world's most lethal lone gunman. This unenviable title is held by the Israeli-American doctor who machine- gunned down 64 Muslims during prayer at a mosque in Jerusalem.
