Sir: I disapprove of your use of the euphemistic term 'politically correct' ('The wilder shores of PC', 21 July). As this term has a built-in implication that the user accepts the ideas behind it (because it says 'correct'), I would prefer a phrase that described those ideas, such as 'linguistically totalitarian'.
