Letter: Shame at voting for Major is not enough

LYNN BARBER'S honesty is to be applauded ('My guilt and shame that I voted Tory', 18 October). A remarkable number of people are unable to reach a similar conclusion about the consequences of their voting decision to the extent that, were there to be a general election tomorrow, it would not be at all surprising if John Major scraped home again.
