Letter: Tibetan victims of the Chinese and realpolitik

Sir: I am writing to you to commend the publication of the article about the escape of four Tibetan nuns from Tibet (12 February). I feel that it is extremely important to raise public awareness on the appalling human rights abuses in Tibet, made all the worse because the Tibetans are in general such pleasant and innocent people.

Thank you for raising public consciousness about what the Chinese are doing.
