Sir: Your assertion that the guilty verdict on Louise Woodward was something that "she herself had contributed to", by asking the jury to consider acquittal or guilty of murder only, is bizarre. Why should Louise plead guilty to manslaughter when she protests her innocence and when all the evidence is in her favour?
