IN ANSWER to Jennifer Miller's statement (Letters, 7 November) that the Queen reimburses the Government for certain payments from the Civil List: it was my understanding that such 'reimbursements' could be set against any notional income tax that the Queen might voluntarily decide to pay. The Civil List, it appears, continues to be paid, only now through the back door.
