Big Bang Theory cast talk about getting emotional as they near finale

Hit CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory only aired its final episode last May, but fans have already began calling for a reunion.

However, in a recent interview, Mayim Bialik, who played Amy Farrah Fowler on the series, has suggested that “legal stuff” could prevent the series from staging a revival.

Speaking to Metro, Bialik said: “This aspect of the industry is that everyone does have other jobs and all sorts of other things going on.”

“Right now, [co-star] Jim Parsons and I are producing a show Call Me Kat, so that’s technically where my life is.”

She continued: “Again, there’s a lot of legal stuff which is very boring about why shows do have reunions and don’t.”

However, leaving aside the logistical and legal complications of reuniting the cast, Bialik also said that she thinks “it’s probably too soon”.

While there doesn’t seem to be much chance of a Big Bang reunion any time soon, the world hasn’t seen the last of the series’ world just yet. Ongoing spin-off Young Sheldon, a prequel focusing on Parsons’s Sheldon Cooper as a child, has been renewed for a forthcoming fourth season.

In the same interview, Bialik also confessed she had never watched the series, despite starring in 203 episodes.

“I don’t watch myself on television,” said the actor.
