Kanye West’s new album has suffered multiple delays after being scheduled for release last year

Kanye West is moving to another stadium to finish working on his highly anticipated album Donda, collaborating artist KayCyy has said.

Last month, the 44-year-old rapper revealed via an Instagram post that he was living at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium to work on his project and has since hosted two listening events at the arena.

The first playback of the album took place last month, with more than 40,000 people in attendance, followed by a second event which took place on 5 August.

The news of West moving to another stadium came from a now-deleted tweet by KayCyy, a 24-year-old rapper who has been working closely with the “Follow God” singer. “We moving to another stadium,” he wrote in the tweet.

The up and coming artist did not reveal any more details, but other stadiums around Atlanta could be potential choices for West, noted hip hop news website HotNewHipHop. These include the State Farm Arena, Truist Park and Russ Chandler stadiums.

West could also plan to move to a different city altogether to host a new listening party for an entirely different crowd.

Donda will be West’s 10th album and his first since 2019’s gospel-inspired Jesus is King. Guests known to be recording for the album include long-time collaborator 2 Chainz, rapper Playboi Carti and Grammy award winner The Weeknd.
