It looks as though we haven't heard the last of Honey G.
The so-called rapper claims that she has been signed by Simon Cowell's label Syco, in a video that she shared on Twitter where she revealed details of her future plans.
"Yo yo yo, this is your girl here Honey G," she begins in the video. "I hope you all enjoyed my performance last night at The X Factor final.
"Yes it is true - I am now signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco. I'm going to be releasing my first single on 23 December, and I'm shooting the video this week. I'm so excited, I'm so happy - I can't explain how happy I am.
"I want all my fans to let them know that I love them, and I hope that everyone goes out, buys the single, supports it, we tear it up and we kill it, smash it."
In an appearance on Lorraine Honey G had previously said that she felt Syco was the best label for her, because she had already built up a relationship with them.
"I entered The X Factor because I wanted a record deal," she said. "Obviously with Syco, I know the team really well. We get on really well so it would be lovely to be signed by them because the relationship is already formed."
Honey G's announcement about her signing arrived before the actual winner of the X Factor (Matt Terry) has been announced.
The 'rapper', whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford, drew criticism after she was invited to perform on the X Factor final despite finishing fifth, with several viewers accusing the show of giving her preferential treatment over the finalists.

The track was made to download and stream as soon as the X Factor winner made his first performance of the song at the end of the show.
