House of Cards season 4 release date: A trailer is imminent
President Underwood will be hijacking the GOP debate
What with all the Star Wars hype and Game of Thrones leaks recently, you might have forgotten about good old House of Cards.
UPDATE: The announcement was made - watch it here.
It’s been consistently brilliant in its first three seasons, and tonight we’re set to get some sort of glimpse at the fourth.
“BREAKING NEWS: President Underwood will be making a special announcement tonight during the #GOPDebate,” its official Twitter account declared.
We’ll be lucky if the address constitutes a teaser trailer, more likely it will just be a mini-speech from Frank that in some way alludes to the plot of the upcoming season.
So far, details on the new House of Cards episodes are scant, though we do know that Neve Campbell (Scream) has joined the cast in a recurring role, along with Colm Feore (The Good Wife).
Netflix has yet to confirm a release date, but its promo schedule marries up with previous ones, and the last three seasons all debuted in February, so that month is a pretty safe bet.
Season 3 ended dramatically, with First Lady Claire Underwood apparently walking out on the President.
