Strictly Come Dancing has reached week 10 of its 2025 series, which means the stars can practically smell the quarter-finals.

The six remaining couples returned to perform after last week’s Blackpool extravaganza, in which everyone made it through after La Voix’s untimely departure from the BBC competition due to an injury.

With the final in touching distance, some of the celebrities unfortunately made a few errors on the dancefloor - but two landed perfect scores.

Karen Carney and Carlos Gu landed top marks for their empowering Couple’s Choice before Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin received a 40 for their jive.

Elsewhere in the episode, the six remaining couples took part in an Instant Dance challenge. The chaotic segment saw each pair open an envelope to find out which style they would be performing just moments before taking to the floor.

Tess Daly has reflected on some of her iconic Strictly Come Dancing fashion moments ahead of exit from the series at the end of the year. Posting on Instagram on Wednesday (26 November), the 56-year-old dissected some of her favourite and least favourite looks that she’s worn over the course of her 21 year run on the show. Some of her outfits she said would “revisit” whilst confessed that other ensembles are “better left in the wardrobe”. Many of the photos featured co-host Claudia Winkleman, who also be departing the show at the end of the year.

Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Kingston has set the record straight on her rib injury. The Doctor Who actor, 62, suffered a dislocated rib but still took to the floor to perform her Couple's Choice with professional partner Johannes Radebe. Speaking exclusively to The Independent, Kingston reassured fans that she's back to normal and shared details of how she sustained her injury. "[The rib] just sort of popped out of its placement. But it didn't go back in, so we had to change some of the choreography at the last minute," she explained.

Richard Madeley has criticised the Strictly Come Dancing judges, claiming Balvinder Sopal has been "consistently underrated and underscored". Appearing on It Takes Two on Friday (28 November), the TV presenter expressed his frustration at the actor frequently ending up in the dance-off. "I think she’s one of the best, I think she’s really good," Madeley told host Fleur East. Despite saying she is "beautiful when she moves around the floor," Madeley expressed his concern that Sopal may not suit the style of her upcoming jive.
