Lewis Hamilton is poised to reunite with long-time ally and trainer Angela Cullen at Ferrari.

The seven-time Formula 1 world champion embarks on a new chapter with the Scuderia this year and is quickly assembling a strong team to help him seize an eighth crown in 2025.

And it now appears that Cullen, a long-time ally during Hamilton’s time at Mercedes, will be part of the backroom staff aiding Hamilton.

Cullen played a key role in six of Hamilton’s seven titles before parting ways on amicable terms after the first Grand Prix in the 2023 season.

But now Hamilton has reached out to Cullen, reports Autosport and other outlets, with the New Zealander set to join Hamilton's Project 44 company as a physio.

Cullen will collaborate with race director Marc Hynes to monitor and analyse Hamilton’s performance in the Ferrari red.

The imminent hire follows social media speculation after Cullen posted photographs on Instagram wearing red, while a flag with the No. 44, Hamilton’s trademark number, could be seen in the background.

Hamilton has spoken glowingly about Cullen since the pair parted company, stating in 2023: "Angela is living her life right now. She's got so many ideas of things she wants to do. We message pretty much every day. We are still going to skydive together. We are always going to be in each other's lives.

"We're stuck with each other, unfortunately, or fortunately! We've been through thick and thin. I am grateful our relationship is as good as it is. We've probably had one of the longest relationships I would say in the sport. I am incredibly grateful for her, I love her dearly."

Hamilton will now set his sights on his first laps in a Ferrari-powered car at the team’s test track in Fiorano.

The 40-year-old has already enjoyed valuable time on the team's simulator with fundamental work ongoing to get up to speed with the Ferrari power unit’s new processes and power delivery.

Hamilton has spent his first week meeting various members of the Ferrari heirarchy, including team principal Fred Vasseur, chief executive Benedetto Vigna and Piero Ferrari, son of Enzo Ferrari, the team's founder.
