Orlando Bloom reveals moments hes looking forward to when his daughter with Katy Perry is born

Orlando Bloom has revealed the moments he is most looking forward to sharing with his newborn daughter.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star — who is already dad to nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr — is currently expecting a daughter with fiancée Katy Perry.

On Thursday, Bloom shared his excitement about becoming a “girl dad”, telling Good Morning America that he can’t wait to welcome the new arrival.

“I'm excited,“ he said. “It's a magical time when an angel pops into the planet, which is what it feels like.”

The British actor, added that he is happily anticipating “those quiet times at home”.

“Just you and the family and the little one, and nursing and just sort of being present and seeing where you can help and what you can do to nurture the life into the world,” Bloom said, explaining that he’s even looking forward to late night bottle feeds.

“I'm really looking forward to those very late nights where I'll probably be getting up and doing a breastfeeding-bottle-thing, because I won't be, obviously, breastfeeding,“ Bloom said.

“I'm looking forward to that because I love those quiet times when the world feels like it's asleep and you've got a sleeping baby [in your arms].”

The 43-year-old recently updated fans on Perry's pregnancy, and praised the "Daisies" singer as a “force of nature”.

Speaking to Associated Press, Bloom explained that he is in “awe” of the singer.

“It’s been really impressive there’s been no complaining,” Bloom said.

“She’s just been all about it. It’s pretty awe-inspiring the way she handles herself, the way it’s business as usual.”

Bloom added that “aside from a giant belly” you wouldn’t know Perry was pregnant.

“You wouldn’t know. She’s a force of nature, obviously. As we all know, as everyone knows.”

Perry announced she was expecting her first child with Bloom in March when she unveiled her growing baby bump in a music video for the single “Never Worn White”.
