Nicole Kidman has shared how appreciative she is of her husband Keith Urban, revealing he is the reason she exudes confidence on and off screen.
On Tuesday night, the Big Little Lies star won the coveted Actress of the Year prize at the annual GQ Men of the Year Awards.
However, during an interview with the publication for its October issue – for which Kidman is one of a number of cover stars – the actor refused to take all the credit for her success.
Opening up about her relationship with Urban, Kidman said her husband is always keen to be involved with work projects and helps to “boost her esteem” when she needs it.
“He’ll sit on the phone and talk to me. He’ll watch episodes [of Big Little Lies]…I take none of that for granted,” Kidman said, adding that “It’s an incredible balm to have.”

The actor also explained that, while Urban is happy to help with her work, they tend not to discuss which roles she will play as a couple.
“The only thing we really discuss is what it is going to cost our family,” Kidman said.
“Obviously I work hard, but when I’m off, I’m off,” she said at the event, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
“Keith and I are very good at immediately clicking off because we have a really good life in Nashville that’s very simple, quiet and nourishing because we’ve made it like that.”
She explained that they both make a big effort to ensure they don’t let their careers take over their home life.
“We’re pretty strict with the boundaries on what we allow in terms of work into our home,” she said.
“I used to have an office in my house and I just got rid of it – it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I finally went, ‘This is not a good thing.’”
Kidman attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards wearing a bold yellow gown designed by Ralph & Russo.
She was joined by a bevy of A-list guests including David Beckham, who was on hand to receive the Editor's Award for his work in fashion, football and philanthropy.
