From attempting to rob a bank during a break to stealing from clients, the most mind-boggling reasons that employees have had to fire workers have been revealed.
The majority of people manage to clock into work and end the day without too much trouble – but according to employers who took part in an Ask Reddit thread, making it past their first day is a challenge for some.
Users on the website were invited to answer the question: “Employers of Reddit, have you ever had to fire someone on their first day? What did they do?”

These examples are jaw-dropping, but recent research showed that outlandish behaviour isn’t the only thing that can set you back at work.
Almost four in ten bosses have admitted that they have not given an employee a pay rise or promotion because of their clothing.
A survey of 2,000 workers by the uniform provider Simon Jersey found that women were under the most pressure over what they wear.
One female participant said that he boss told her that her dress was "too pink" while another was told to wear more make-up.
The research also revealed that more than six in ten people believe their sartorial choices stopped them from being promoted, while two thirds of managers admitted that they’d be less likely to give someone a job if they didn’t like their appearance during the interview.
