Jeremy Kyle 'pepper-sprayed in Magaluf': Bouncer behind the can speaks out

The man who reportedly pepper-sprayed Jeremy Kyle in Magaluf at the weekend – as so luridly described by Googlebox star Scarlett Moffat yesterday (15 July) – claims he did it because the presenter was making the town “look s**t”.

The acerbic chat show host was apparently filming scenes outside a bar in Mallorca for an upcoming TV special based on the leaking of a video that showed a female student from Britain performing sexual acts on 24 men as part of a drinking game.

Romanian doorman Leon, 40, took offence to the way Kyle and his crew were portraying the clubbing town.

"He was walking down the strip with a camera making it look s**t," The Tab quoted him as saying.

"I don't like that sort of publicity - it's not good. It's been happening for a while now and it's definitely not the way to promote a place.

"He ran away behind the corner," he continued. "I don't like the way he portrays the place. We're like family here - we clean everything and keep it that way. It's actually a nice place to live, which is why you find lots of families here with their kids being raised here.

"His show is only commercial rubbish, it's not reality. I really don't care about him or what anyone does to him."

His comments follow an entire column dedicated to the incident, written by Moffat for the Daily Star.

"While he may've thought clubbers were too wasted to recognise how out of place he looked, he didn't account for the workers unprepared for their beloved party island to face another slagging,” she wrote.

"And one bouncer from one of the busiest bars warned Jezza that he couldn’t come into the club.

"At the end of the day," she continued, "people go to Magaluf to have a good time and Jez-head mooching around isn't exactly good for business. He was as unwelcome as a fart in a lift.

"He may be the king of chat, but he ain't the king of Maga."

According to her, the alleged altercation ended with "Jezza being pepper-sprayed by the bouncer".

His face, she wrote, was "as confused as one of his show guests getting a full-house on the lie detector machine".

"Let's face it, the only way he'd fit in would be if he got a tattoo of 'I am a t**t' on his forehead that he woke up regretting and had a threesome with his resident counsellor, Graham," she concluded.

Representatives for Jeremy Kyle and ITV are yet to comment on the claims. The channel is also yet to confirm when Kyle’s Magaluf special is set to air.
