Shocking videos have emerged of a woman hurling abuse at two men on a London Underground train for speaking in their “own lingo” instead of in English.

The woman, who was called a “bigot” by onlookers during the tirade, turned on two men sat close to her in the District line carriage on Friday night and began aggressively shouting and swearing at them for not having a conversation in English.

“If you ain’t going to speak in f*****g English, why are you on this train? You want to take a job, you want to live in our houses, do it, speak in English when you’re on the train,” she is seen shouting.

The woman apparently believed the men were discussing her or people on the carriage in a different language, and continued: “You want to sit on this train and talk in your language about us. You’re taking the p***. I know you’re taking the p***.

“You know English when you want a job, you know English when you want a flat, you know English when you want f*****g anything, but when you want to talk about us on the train, you talk in your own lingo.”

One person shouts “bigot” during the tirade, while one of the men being addressed responds that “not everyone on this train is talking in English”.

The man then has a heated argument with the woman before he and a group leaves the train in disgust. The woman shouts, “Yeah, go ponce some more social,” as they leave.

An onlooker named Jay, 24, who works in banking, took the two videos of the woman’s tirade on Friday night at around 11pm on the District Line between Mile End and Plaistow.

He told the Daily Mail it was a “total shock to witness this racist abuse”.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “We have been made aware of a video posted online which appears to show two men being racially abused onboard a London Underground District line train.

“It is not clear when the video was recorded.

“Officers have launched an investigation and are currently analysing the video.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting log 147 of 29/03/2015.”
