The mother of a three-year-old boy posted an emotional response on Facebook after her son was abused on a bus for having ginger hair.

Lauren Russell described how she and her son, Noah, boarded a bus in Southampton only for two teenagers in school uniform to begin making fun of him.

She said the abuse prompted Noah to ask his mother why he had “horrible” hair.

Ms Russell claimed the comments made included, “if I ever have a ginger child, I would kill it” and “social services should have taken him away because his hair colour is disgusting”.

Despite only being three-years-old, she said Noah realised what the teenagers were saying and later asked her why he couldn’t be blond like his older brother Charlie.

Ms Russell’s Facebook post has since gone viral, with over 21,000 shares, and has attracted comments from users all over the world.
