Monkey in nappy caught attacking Walmart staff
The monkey’s owner pushed the staff worker and led the animal away by the hand
A monkey in a nappy was caught on video attacking a man working at Walmart.
Shopper Richelle Stewart was driving through the carpark of the store in Ohio when she saw a monkey perched on top of the supermarket trolleys, attacking a man in a yellow work vest.
The monkey’s owner appeared to rush forward and push the man away.
“Let her go, let her go. Did she bite you?” the woman asked.
She then led the monkey in a pink nappy by the hand through the carpark.
Ms Richelle uploaded the video to Facebook and wrote: “I just video tapped a monkey attacking a guy at Walmart in Lancaster Ohio!”
The video has been seen more than 300,000 times.
“I think the woman was scared the monkey was going to bite him. So she pushed the guy away," she wrote.
“It was crazy. We pulled up to Walmart and were like...is that a monkey?!?!? Haha.”
A Walmart spokesperson told NBC4 news that the employee had not been bitten and the owner was “grateful” for his help.
The Department of Agriculture is reportedly trying to locate the monkey to make sure it is registered.
