Two suicide bombers killed in Pakistan after fighting with each other

Two would be suicide bombers have died in Pakistan after they detonated an explosive while fighting with each, it has been reported.

The men were killed in an explosion near Khayam Chowk in Sargodha, in the country's north western Punjab province on Saturday.

Speaking to a Pakistani news channel, Ary News, eyewitnesses say the men, who are believed to have been wearing suicide vests, were talking on a bench before they began to fight and a device was detonated.

Police said one of the men was carrying an IED, according to Breaking News Pakistan

Following the blast the emergency services were called and the area was cordoned off but there were no reports of any other injuries.

Police took the two men to Sargodha’s District Headquarters Hospital and their homes in Sargodha and Kushab. Several arrests have been made.

District police officer Sargodha Saqib Manan said it would be premature to comment on the incident while the investigation is ongoing.
