Follow live coverage as AFC Bournemouth face Leicester City today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Brilliant save from Stolarczyk! Brooks plays a short free-kick to Tavernier, who has too much time and space on the edge of the penalty area to open his body up and curl a strike on goal. It looks set to nestle into the top corner, but the goalkeeper pulls out a superb fingertip save.

It has been a first half dominated by Bournemouth, but the scoreline remains 0-0 at the Vitality Stadium at half-time against Leicester. Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk had to make a series of fine stops throughout the first 45 minutes. Evanilson spurned the biggest opportunity inside the opening ten minutes when he dragged his shot wide from close-range. Coady was required to deny the striker another big chance on goal, when he was brought down just outside the penalty. VAR checked whether the defender should have been awarded a red card instead of a yellow, but the referee stuck with his original decision. Leicester did have the ball in the net through Skipp, but the offside flag denied them on that occasion. Otherwise, the Foxes have shown little attacking threat. The visitors created an xG of just 0.25 in the first half, compared to an xG creation of 0.88 for the hosts.

Leicester managing to sustain a period of possession, and Ayew looks to make something happen as he advances into the penalty area, but Bournemouth do well to force the visitors back into their own half.

Another smart stop from Stolarczyk. It is more neat play from Bournemouth around the Leicester penalty area, before Brooks' effort is parried away to safety by the goalkeeper.
