The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.
Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
It's all over at the Emirates, as Arsenal twice surrender a one-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace and leave Liverpool on the very precipice of this season's Premier League title! The Gunners led 2-1 at half-time, but their lethargic performance continued into the second period as they generated just 1.22 xG to Palace's 1.75, with their best chance being Martinelli's disallowed goal after Timber's cross had left the field of play. Saliba, Saka, Trossard and Martinelli were all denied or missed chances from close range throughout the second half, but Palace looked by far the more likely to score as Devenny, Guehi and Sarr were all denied before Mateta capitalised on a Saliba mistake to lob Raya from 25 yards and equalise for the visitors. The spoils being shared keeps Palace in 12th, but also sees Arsenal fail to close the gap at the top to 10 points, meaning Liverpool could lift the title – by beating the Gunners' arch-rivals Tottenham – before Arteta's side next take to the pitch.

Martinelli has scored five goals in his last five Premier League appearances against Crystal Palace and his six goals overall against the Eagles is his most against any opponent, but he's not really come close to adding to that tally in this one.

Lerma launches a low throw into Arsenal's box but doesn't get the height he wanted on the effort, which drops for Guehi at the near post and the England defender can't keep it in play.

Palace find further success down the right as the ball ricochets into Sarr's path, but his dangerous ball back across the face of goal is too far ahead of both Mateta and Mitchell as the Eagles fail to capitalise!

WIDE!!! Tierney absolutely hurls a quick throw-in forward to Martinelli, who races into open pasture, drives into the Palace box, and lashes a left-footed strike into the side netting!

BLOCKED!!! Mateta bursts in behind from a Munoz flick-on and cuts the ball back from the right, but Sarr can't steer it goalwards with enough conviction and Saliba makes the block!

We're into the first of EIGHT added minutes at the Emirates, and that's more than enough time for either side to find a winner here!
