Aston Villa will bid to reach their first European quarter-final since 1998 tonight when they host Ajax in the Europa Conference League last 16.

The tie remains in the balance following a tight 0-0 draw in Amsterdam last week. Both sides finished with 10 players after red cards for Villa’s Ezri Konsa and Ajax defender Tristan Gooijer.

Villa will be looking to bounce back from their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of top-four rivals Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday, as Unai Emery’s side suffered a dent to their Champions League qualification hopes.

Villa set a record of 15 consecutive home league wins earlier this season, but Newcastle, Chelsea and Spurs have all won there in recent weeks.

Emery is looking to win the fifth European trophy of his career this season and Villa welcome an Ajax side that includes England midfielder Jordan Henderson. Here’s everything you need to know, and get the latest Europa Conference League odds and tips, here
