The full-time whistle blows at the Gtech Community Stadium as Brentford defeat Manchester United in a thrilling 4-3 game. After a great start from the hosts, the visitors took the lead through Mason Mount's first-time finish past the hapless Mark Flekken. The Bees responded with an equaliser after Luke Shaw redirected Mikkel Damsgaard's shot into his own net. Kevin Schade gave the home side the lead after firing in a powerful header from Christian Norgaard's exquisite cross. United started off the second half positively but conceded another goal as Schade converted Bryan Mbeumo's delightful cross. Soon after, the Bees made it four as Michael Kayode teed up Yoane Wissa to tap into an empty net. The Red Devils' did not give up and Alejandro Garnacho scored a sensational goal with Flekken rooted to the spot. Substitute Amad Diallo set up a tense final few minutes after seeing his left-footed effort go through the legs of Flekken, however, the home side held out for a deserved win. The result sees Brentford move up to ninth place in the Premier League table as Thomas Frank's side look to bring European football to West London next season. For United, they suffer a 16th league defeat of the season and remain in 15th place. Ruben Amorim's side will now turn their attention to Thursday UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg tie against Athletic Club.
