Follow live coverage as Brighton & Hove Albion face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Fulham

A dramatic ending at The Amex as Pedro's 98th minute penalty decides a tight contest between Brighton and Fulham as the Seagulls emerge 2-1 victors. Fulham had defended admirably in that second half before substitute Harrison Reed fouled Pedro in the penalty area in the final seconds of the match. Pedro then made no mistake from the penalty spot for his eigth Premier League goal of the season. The visitors had taken the lead in the first half when Iwobi set up Jimenez to fire home. The hosts produced an instant response through van Hecke's header, which was his first goal for the club. Brighton controlled the second half, but couldn't break through the Fulham defence until the penalty. It is a massive three points in their quest to achieve European football next season. This result moves Brighton up to sixth in the table, four points above Fulham who sit in ninth. The hosts produced an xG of 1.61 compared to an xG creation of 0.90 for the visitors. Fulham hosts Tottenham next whilst Brighton travel to Manchester City in their next Premier League outing. That is all from me. Thanks for joining me and goodbye.
